I was born in Dallas TX and raised out in the country of Hico TX. My experience at my office taught me how to provide the right protection for our customers, ranging from auto insurance, homeowner’s insurance, renter’s insurance, life insurance, and financial services. Before opening Erik Slaughter State Farm, I worked as a High School and College Football Coach for 25 years. I moved around between Stephen F. Austin State University, University of Houston and University of West Virginia. I attended college at Tarleton State University and studied Sports Science.

I enjoy spending time outdoors in Coppell, TX. In the summer I take advantage of our lakes and boating with my wife, son and twin daughters. I enjoy living in Texas, I especially like traveling and hiking in my spare time. I still like to keep up with and support our local sports teams. We support our local Denton Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

My State Farm Insurance office is in Coppell, TX. We opened our doors in January of 2015. I feel blessed to be in Coppell, which is such a welcoming community. I really enjoy Dallas County and plan to take advantage of everything it has to offer. I am excited for the opportunity to help customers with insurance and financial services to help prepare them for life’s unexpected. Please stop in sometime to meet my amazing team!
